Hybridisation between the species has been observed, and hare hybrids may be phenotypically variable, thus species were classified as European-like and Irish-like. Nevertheless, with the exception of 6 animals, individuals were assigned to species with a high degree of confidence. Data were processed and stored accurately. Data Capture Method: Continuous nocturnal Distance sampling across ~700km of roads in Mid-Ulster in 2012-13. Camera trap surveys were carried out in a number of locations in Mid-Ulster from 2013-2015. Road casualties were reported by the public and collected by Anthony Caravaggi.
