This data set shows the Extractive Industry sites, as registered by local authorities, as required under the Waste Management (Management of Waste from the Extractive Industries) Regulations 2009. Please note the data is entered and maintained by local authorities and does not go through any further EPA validation or quality control check.

Purpose

The Waste Management (Management of Waste from the Extractive Industries) Regulations 2009 require the EPA to prescribe the particulars to be entered into the register, the methodology used and manner in which such information is entered and maintained. This dataset is to meet these requirements.
